Rolling Ruination

Everyone has seen trucks that are parked at festivals that serve beer, but how about a truck that makes beer and then serves it? Tonight on Monster Garage Jesse James and crew are turning a fire truck into a mobile brewery.

Vacation Wrap Up

It’s Monday and I’m back home so let’s wrap up the rest of the vacation. Saturday after Friday’s pub crawl was a long day. We checked out of the hotel and headed to Pike Place Market. Being Saturday it was bustling, I took what should turn out to be great shots; there is just so much character in public markets.

Disembarkation

Friday morning we disembarked, which again was really nice because of our priority boarding because of the beer cruise, we were the first ones off the ship and got through customs, even with the raised security level pretty easily. We took a cab back to the hotel to drop off the bags before we started our beer tour of Seattle.

The Last Day at Sea

After Ketchikan (yes this is the correct spelling) we headed out to sea. There is a legal catch that we have to stop on a non US port so the ship is able to sell the duty free merchandise. So last night during dinner we stopped in Prince Rupert British Columbia for 45 whole minutes to meet the formality.

Real Quick Update

We are in Ketchican and there is Internet access in town so I was able to post some photographs.Yesterday after Hubbard Glacier was a day at sea. I took a nap before we had a beer and food seminar and tasting. For dinner I had Frog Legs, Duck Consioume Soup, and Rack of Lamb. For desert I had a chocolate tort. We were both tired and there was nothing going on at night so we went to bed early.

Juneau, Skagway, Haines, and Hubbard Glacier

It's been pretty busy the past couple of days but now I have some time to catch up. Since I last posted We have been to Juneau, Skagway, Haines, and Hubbard Glacier.

Oh, You Ate That?!?

Saturday was a day at sea, and a well needed one that , after two days of having a lot of things to do, this is a nice change. We slept in a little longer than yesterday and now I'm feeling pretty comfortable with the time zone change. For breakfast we did the buffet, had the normal sausage, eggs, french toast type breakfast. After lunch we checked out all of the parts of the ship. I took a nap to help adjust even more to the time changes.

Embarkation

This Pacific Time zone is taking some getting used to. Heather woke up at 3:40 am and I was up at 5:30. We had breakfast at the hotel. and I posted some of the other photos that I shot yesterday. At 10 we checked out of the hotel and got a cab down to the pier. The check in process was fast and easy, a million times better than the carnival cruise where we waited for hours in line to get on the ship. This time we checked our baggage at the curb and was one of the first people to board the ship.

Vacation Day 1

Heather wakes me up at the ungodly time of 5:20 am, this is supposed to be vacation, why does this feel so much like work.We go to my parents house because my mom is taking me to the airport (thanks). It's really foggy down by the river at 6 in the morning. We checked and got our e-ticket, the lines were nice and short this early in the morning, one thing that is different than before, now you have to take your bags across the floor to the luggage screeners so they can peek at your underpants.

Greetings from Seattle

Yay my hotel room has free high speed internet! We are going out to shoot some photos and sight see. Check back tonight tomorrow to see em.
