Before this weekend I had a Drupal 5 site, a Drupal 4 site, a b2Evolution site, a PHPNuke site, and a hand coded site. Now I have Four Drupal 5 sites and the hand coded one. Needless to say I'm becoming quite knowledgeable on importing data into Drupal along with the upgrades.

I used to be a big fan of the php software Gallery, used it stand, alone, in phpNuke, and in Drupal. But it was always a bit on the tedious side to maintain. I started looking into a more lightweight gallery module for drupal and I found that the image module suited my needs well. The Gallery is simple and easy to setup. The import function allows me to import a bunch of photos at once. The import also lets me import the album files from Gallery easily.

So all in all I'm pretty psyched with drupal. now let me go salvage my busted photo gallery for jeffbearer.com the software hasn't functioned for well over a year. but importing should be fairly easy.
