Friday morning we disembarked, which again was really nice because of our priority boarding because of the beer cruise, we were the first ones off the ship and got through customs, even with the raised security level pretty easily. We took a cab back to the hotel to drop off the bags before we started our beer tour of Seattle. For the beer tour of Seattle we visited Pike Brewing Company, Pyramid Brewing, and Elysian Brewing. Both Pike and Elysian were very cool places, but pyramid was a little too TGI Fridays corporateish. At Pike we got the grand tour of the brewery, when the tour ended they were having a bigger than expected lunch rush and we were running late so we only got to taste one of their beers, the Pale Ale. We only ate lunch at Pyramid it took too long and we needed to get to Elysian before the brewer left. At Elysian I ordered a sampler containing their IPA, Pale Ale, Belgian Tripel, Porter, Pilsner, and ESB. They were all pretty good, and it wasn't a surprise that they have won Best Brewpub at the Great American Beer Festival twice. That was the end of the afternoon tour, at 6:30 we were picked up by the Hale's Ales Double Deker Bus for a pub crawl, we Ate Dinner at Hales, I had a Burger, their Imperial IPA and Imperial Porter. Then we went to Maritime Berwing where I had their Double Dry Hopped IPA. Next was the Old Town Tavern, I had to sit this one out, I was too full to drink a pint in the time allotted. Our final stop was The Big Time where I get a sampler of their Scarlet Fire IPA, Decade 10th anniversary IPA, Bagwhans Best IPA, and Lift Ticket Winter Ale.Saturday we are going to tour the city and catch the Red-Eye home at 11:30 tonight, it will be 6:30am in Pittsburgh when we arrive.
