My Tivo was not responding to the remote.

This isn't going to be too exciting, but I had a problem with my Tivo Series 1 this evening, I was not responding to the remote control the yellow light wasn't flashing to the remote code. After several reboots of varying times the remote still wasn't working. On the tivo I found a program called irtest. I googled for it and found this page.I stopped the Event Switcher with:/tvbin/switcherstart -kand then I ran irtest to see if the IR receiver on the tivo was working at all./sbin/irtest -t /dev/ttyS0 -lBecause I stopped the Event Switcher the TV stuff was all frozen up. I ran a reboot from the command line and the tivo came back up happy as a clam.It was a harrowing half hour where I was wonder if my tivo had bit the dust.
